Tour Details

Enjoy a visit to the magical former Palace of Queen Elisabeth. During the tour your personal guide will tell you about the Austro-Hungarian Empire and the life of Sisi. Discover the secrets of the Palace and take a pleasant walk in its beautiful Garden!

Count Antal Grassalkovich I. was one of the most notable aristocrats of the 18th century. He began the construction of the Palace of Gödöllő around 1735. It is not just a museum, but the largest Baroque palace in Hungary with unique architecture.

Gödöllő was the favourite palace of Elisabeth, where she found a bit of peace and refuge from the protocol in Vienna. The Palace was a perfect place for Sisi to read, walk, write or learn languages. Nobody disturbed her here.

A wide range of cultural events and traditions make the Palace one of the most interesting and attractive buildings in Hungary.

During the interior visit of the spectacular baroque Castle your personal guide will tell you about the Austro-Hungarian Empire and the life of Sisi.

Enjoy coffee and cake in the Palace Café before taking a nice walk in the beautiful park behind the Castle.
